The purpose of this reimbursement structure is to reduce the financial burden for growers attending the Impact Update Event, while supporting grower broader participation at Hort Connections. The reimbursement is designed to contribute toward travel and stay costs associated with attending both events, subject to the terms set out below.

Reimbursement Terms & Conditions

• Reimbursement is available to registered growers only and is conditional upon in person attendance at the Impact Update Event (attendance verified via badge scan on the day).
• A maximum of 100 growers are eligible. Reimbursement is capped once this limit is reached. Reimbursement allocated in order of receipt.
• Reimbursement is limited to $1,000 (inc. GST) per eligible grower and maximum 2 employees per company.
• Funds may only be used for travel, accommodation, meals or meeting related expenses incurred during Hort Connections week (31 May – 5 June). Please contact us if you have any questions in relation to whether an expense is or is not included.  Hort’s decision is final.
• Reimbursement will be processed after the event concludes (post 5 June) and claims must be submitted within 30 days.
• Valid tax invoices or receipts must be provided via the online portal. The link will be distributed to all eligible parties post event. Claims submitted without supporting documentation will not be processed.
• Reimbursement will be administered by Peanut Productions, Hort Innovation Australia’s contracted delivery partner, in accordance with their payment requirements.
• Growers who do not attend the Impact Update Event are not eligible for reimbursement or a Hort Connections Grower Access Ticket.
• Hort may determine eligibility and make all decisions in connection with the promotion at its discretion. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Hort reserves the right to vary, suspend or cancel the promotion at any time in circumstances where the Hort Connections event is cancelled or postponed.
• To the extent permitted by law, Hort will not be liable for any loss, damage or expense suffered or incurred by a grower in connection with the promotion.
• Growers’ attendance at the event is subject to the terms and conditions of the event organiser and/or venue.
• Hort does not organise or control the event and is not responsible for the conduct of the event, the venue, or any third‑party providers involved in the event.
• To the extent permitted by law, Hort will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense arising from or in connection with a grower’s attendance at the event.
• Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.
